Facilities Project Manager Level 1 or Level 2
Pennsylvania State University's Office of Physical Plant is seeking to fill two (2) Facilities Project Manager positions. The Facilities Project Managers will be responsible for design and construction project leadership, management, development, and coordination of renovations, alterations, and major maintenance projects from inception through completion on the University Park campus.

These positions will coordinate with internal and external design and construction resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the University's standards of quality and safety.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Facilitating the coordination and preparation of design documents, specifications, estimates, and budgets between customers, design professionals, and contractors
  • Coordinating the procurement for design and construction
  • Leading the activities of the project team including designers and contractors, to ensure that the final product meets the requirements of the contract documents and the University's design and construction standards
  • Serving as the customer advocate and updating customers on a regular basis regarding the status of projects
Education and experience
This position communicates regularly with customers, and the candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and written.
The positions will be filled as a level 1 or level 2 Facilities Project Manager, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher levels.
Background check:
This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
