JobResponsibilities
Pennoni Associates is currently seeking a Senior Highway Engineer and/or Senior Highway Project Manager with experience consistent, but not limited to:
- Leading design engineering teams to develop highway designs, prepare plans for DelDOT, SHA and agencies in the Mid-Atlantic Region, locally administered transportation projects
- Coordinating highway design tasks with internal and subconsultant survey, traffic, water resources and bridge staff on transportation improvement projects
- Developing ADA curb ramp designs, sign and pavement markings plans
- Maintenance and protection of traffic plans
- Grading and drainage design
- Microstation Connect (MSCE), OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical staff with the use of MSCE, ORD and PW
- Highway and roadway design experience using MSCE, ORD and PW
- Roundabout design experience
- Hydrology and Hydraulic (H H) design experience.
- H H, Drainage design with InRoads suite preferred.
- Drainage design, SWM and ES C design experience. CCR certification a plus
- Utility Design, water and sanitary sewer utility layout and lighting design
- Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
- Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
- Managing projects/tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients.
- Managing client relationships with Public and Private Clients, including contractors.
- Experience with CM/GC and Design-Build projects is a plus
- Construction Consultation Experience
- Utility coordination and Utility Relocation Design Experience
- Sustainability assessments
- Essential Software Tools: MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Experience.
- Required education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering - MS Degree is a plus
- Minimum years of work experience: 5 - 15 years.
- Minimum years of management experience: 0 - 3 years
- Licenses required: Professional Engineer. PTOE, DBIA a plus
- Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Having the ability to work in a Team Environment is key
