Penn State Health is Hiring a Security Officer Lead - EVENING SHIFT - Security Near Reading, PA

Hours : 6:00p - 6:00a

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Security, the Security Lead is responsible to assign officers to various posts and perform the same duties as officers during their shift. The Lead must respond to all calls/Emergency codes immediately, following protocol that has been established in existing policy. The Lead must enforce facility rules and regulations as directed. The Lead will do investigations and inform managers of results. The Lead will also inform the Director of safety issues and ensure the functioning of radios, vehicles and Life Safety Equipment. The Lead will perform other duties as assigned. The Lead is required to be on-call on a rotation basis with other supervisors. While on-call he/she is required to be available by phone and if necessary respond to the hospital to take charge of a security issue or fill in a shift that cannot be filled by an officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Valid Pennsylvania state driver's license is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

Graduate of police academy or security course preferred

A minimum of twelve (12 ) months police or security supervisor experience preferred.
