SUMMARY OF POSITION :

*$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS AND INCREASED RATES! - eligible to those that qualify*

Responsible for providing assistance with various health care services, for obtaining specimens, for conducting routine lab studies of specimens, and for assisting with administrative functions such as coordinating patient flow and scheduling appointments and phone messages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

High School diploma or equivalent required

Within 90 days of start date attain certification through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification after completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR

Active status as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required, OR

Currently working in a full-time Medical Assistant role for the past year to meet eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification within 90-days of employment date will be acceptable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

Associates Degree or equivalent preferred

Outpatient experience preferred
