Job Description

Under general supervision, provides primary healthcare and performsapproved medical services under the direction of a physician inaccordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of PenderCommunity Hospital.

Hours: Nighttime ER, Daytime ER (Rotating weeks) and clinic coverage.

Experience and Skills

Education and/or Experience

  • Experience as a general Advanced Practice Provider in emergencyroom or primary care setting preferred
  • Effective knowledge and familiarity with word processing, computernavigation, and e-mail

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations

  • National certification and current license in state to practice asan Advanced Practice Provider

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representativeof the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to generate, read, interpret, and take action as itrelates to basic financial statements, national and stateregulations, safety rulings, operational and maintenance andorganizational policies / procedures
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information to patients, families,employees, health care providers, etc...
  • Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively tomaintain good working relationships with staff and health care providers
  • Ability to work with skill in identifying problems
