Pelsue is Hiring a Vice President of Operations Near Englewood, CO
Since 1963 TA Pelsue has been an innovator & leader in the industrial safety and telecom industries. In the beginning it was manhole safety equipment and has grown to include trailer manufacturing, trailer, van & truck upfitting as well as building & configuring satellite systems.
The current operations leader will be retiring after 35 years and we are looking for the next person to take the helm of the operation. You’ll be an active participant with the various groups that report to you. You’ll be engaged in strategy sessions with your team, spend time on the production floor, providing direction & input, driving innovation and coaching your team.

- Vehicle & trailer upfitting
- Metal fabrication
- Satellite Systems
- Facilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for meeting financial targets established for the operation that include: Operating Margins, Inventory, Efficiency
- Provides leadership, supports, motivates, directs and develops a high-caliber staff
- Identifies and solves critical operations problems
- Develops operations strategies, fiscal operating plans and budgets, departmental goals & objectives, capex spending, performance metrics
- Determines departmental staffing requirements
- Directs the company’s product line operations to achieve optimum performance, quality & cost
- Strong proponent of LEAN manufacturing concepts; implement, train and target ongoing LEAN practices and continuous improvement activities
- Ensures compliance with company safety policies throughout the operation
What you should have:
- 10 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with metal fabrication, vehicle & trailer manufacturing/upfitting
- Experience with assembly operations
- Expert knowledge and experience with LEAN manufacturing concepts
- College degree; engineering, business
- Experience with ISO9001
- Experience with costing and a solid understanding of financial metrics & performance
Compensation Range: $125,000 - $150-000 plus bonus plan.
