PELICAN BAY FOUNDATION is Hiring a Lead Line Cook at Sandbar (Full-Time) Near Naples, FL

Description

Pelican Bay Foundation is the premier luxury community in Naples, FL. One of the area’s largest exclusive enclaves, situated on more than three square miles and bordered by pristine white-sand beaches, our community offers the most diverse slate of amenities and activities anywhere in the region, and we are seeking a full-time, year-round Line Cook to join our Food and Beverage team, in Naples, FL.

The Foundation manages all common areas, including two beach facilities and two private beachfront restaurants, two tennis facilities, two boardwalks, the Fitness Center and Wellness Studio, the Community Center, and approximately 90 acres of land. 

To be successful in this role, you must have strong organizational and collaborative skills along with demonstrated experience in dealing with diverse personalities. You will need to have the ability to work individually and in a team environment. Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Completes all assigned tasks in a productive and timely manner, practicing portion control and following recipes
  • Sets up workstation as specified
  • Prepares menu items in accordance with Foundation recipes, plate presentation and specifications
  • Organizes, cleans, and sanitizes the work area before, during and after each shift.
  • Assists with stocking supplies rotates products to assure freshness

Requirements

Education

  • Minimum High school diploma/GED or equivalent 
  • Any combination of education, training, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described 
  • FL DBPR approved ServeSafe Manager food handler certification preferred

Skills & Experience 

  • Six (6) months’ experiences in a culinary environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend, stoop and reach frequently 
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit

Key Competencies

  • Ability to develop full knowledge of Foundation menu’s, including ingredients, and preparation
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Capable of using and maintaining knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment
  • Ability to read, write and to effectively communicate in English with members, guests, and other employees
