- Coordinates small staff of Architectural Drafters to meet established schedules and budgets.
- Performs regular reviews and markups of architectural and consultant plans, catching issues before submissions to reduce plan check comments and turn around times.
- Provides consultant coordination as needed, conducting follow-up on deadlines and ensuring timely submissions.
- Orchestrates entirety of project, from Schematic through to Construction Assistance.
- Communicates with Principal Architects any issues that may delay a project or problems that arise.
- Meet with local jurisdictions and attend discretionary approval meetings.
- General knowledge of building construction systems, constructability, materials, and industry associated standards.
- Extensive knowledge of building and code requirements.
- Ability to apply accessibility codes, building codes, and life safety codes.
- Understanding of local jurisdictional requirements and ordinances.
- Ability to discuss code issues with plan checker and acquire code modification if possible.
- Ability to respond to plan check correction items.
- Experience with CADD production and standards.
- Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem solving.
- 3-5 years of on-the-job experience, Bachelor’s degree in Architecture preferred but not necessary, and experience in all phases of project.
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must be willing to work in person, full time.
