Qualifications:
- MUST BE FLUENT/BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH
- Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal law (defense or prosecution)
- Jury trial experience required
- Previous experience in Central Texas Counties courts, including Travis County, Hays County, and Williamson County, etc. is a plus.
- Any additional experience with Spanish-speaking clients is highly favorable
- JD degree and admission to the State Bar of Texas is required
- Strong oral advocacy skills with a preference for prior litigation experience
- Ability to work independently and in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage your own docket with limited supervision
- Ability to work well with people of diverse cultural, educational, and professional backgrounds
- Valid driver’s license - travel to jails and detention centers within Central Texas will be necessary on a regular basis
