Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our team as a Restaurant Bartender. As the primary creator of our beverage offerings, you will play a key role in enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Beverage Preparation:
- Craft a diverse range of high-quality cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure the proper use of ingredients, glassware, and garnishes for each drink.
2. Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking drink orders, and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Create a welcoming and lively atmosphere at the bar, making guests feel comfortable and appreciated.
3. Knowledge of Products:
- Stay informed about the beverage menu, including the ingredients, flavor profiles, and characteristics of each drink.
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends and new cocktail creations.
4. Efficient Service:
- Work quickly and efficiently to fulfill drink orders in a timely manner, especially during peak hours.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
5. Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
6. Cash Handling:
- Process drink orders accurately through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash transactions, provide change, and close tabs efficiently.
7. Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage the bar inventory, including restocking supplies and ordering as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies to management.
8. Upselling and Promotion:
- Promote special promotions, happy hour deals, and featured drinks to increase sales.
- Encourage responsible drinking and adhere to legal regulations regarding alcohol service.
9. Handling Guest Concerns:
- Address and resolve any customer concerns or complaints related to the bar service.
- Notify management of any issues that require further attention.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender is preferred.
- Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and familiarity with a variety of beverages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding alcohol service.
