DUTIES
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer anesthetics and sedatives for dental procedures
- Perform tooth extractions, root canals, and other standard dental procedures
- Educate patients on oral health care and preventive measures
- Maintain accurate patient medical records using electronic health record systems like Dentrix
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Utilize practice management software such as Dentrix for patient scheduling and billing
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff to provide comprehensive patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry techniques and technologies
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license in good standing
-Valid NY State Medicaid Number
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations is a plus
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
