Pediatric Dental Associates & Orthodontics of Alabama is Hiring an Experienced Receptionist - Pediatric Dental Office Near Cullman, AL

We are looking for an experienced Dental Receptionist for our Cullman office.

The receptionist plays one of the most important roles in the office because they are the first face a patient sees when they visit our practice. The receptionist’s enthusiasm can comfort patients with a welcoming smile and compassion that helps console and ease anxieties and fears. They will work closely with other staff members to notify of patients’ arrivals and sharing in other job responsibilities.

Other duties responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Answering the phones promptly and professionally
  • Scheduling appointments to optimize the provider and staff’s schedules
  • Notifying staff of patient arrivals
  • Verifying financial records and collecting copays due
  • Keeping up with patient records within Dentrix
  • Verify that sufficient information is available for accurate verification and eligibly following office guidelines
  • Collect and enter complete and accurate information into the insurance breakdown/coverage tables to ensure coverage of procedure
  • Communicate directly with insurance companies concerning coverage inquires along with determining primary and secondary coverage
  • Notifying office personnel of patient’s copays, break in coverage, out of network coverage, etc.
  • Advancement Opportunity: Opportunity for promotion to other departments, pending review and evaluation.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 years’ experience in a Dental office preferred
  • Knowledge of Dental terminology and ADA/CPT Codes preferred
  • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
  • Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjust to changes in work loads and assignments
  • Valid driver’s license is required
