Job Description
PECO Pallet, Inc. is an industry leader in providing four-way block pallet pooling services in North America. With a diverse portfolio of manufacturers and distributors, PECO currently services most US retailers, wholesalers, national clubs, and food services. The PECO business model is to issue (ship), collect, repair, and reissue pallets from a robust service network throughout North America.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Depot Operations Summer Intern to document equipment idle. The selected candidate will observe Auto Sort, Paint Lines, and other machine operations, documenting equipment downtime occurrences, duration, and root causes.This data will be crucial in supporting the Deopt Operations CIR to enhance overall machine uptimes.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in the use of Microsoft 365 software products. (Excel proficiency is greatly preferred)
- Current major or interest in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or Operations area of business
- Completion of at least 1 year of post-secondary education. (2 years preferred)
- A 3.0 or greater GPA preferred.
- Multiple successful experiences working in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence and to communicate and operate effectively
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, and COMPETENCIES :
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to record data accurately
- Excellent observational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and support operational tasks
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business concepts
- Must be detail-oriented; able to analyze, validate, and sort through data/information.
REQUIRED Education and Skills:
- Working toward BA/BS Degree. Preferably in the Supply Chain/OPS/Data Analytics area
- Prefer candidates who have completed at least 2 years of their studies
