SCOPE OF WORK

1. Project Description: Under the supervision of a Senior Director, Project Chief Executive Officer

("PCEO), assist with Station's Capital Program Projects

2. Professional/Technical Title: Associate Project Manager II

3. Duration of Service Required: 2,080 hours.

4. Normal Work Week: Monday- Friday.

Weekend/night shifts may be required.

5. No. of' Hours Per Week: 40 Hours (Overtime may be required)

6. Hours of Work: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (8 hours hour unpaid lunch)

Technical function 50%, Administrative function - 50%.

Field location 80%, Office location - 20% Right-of-Way work is required as necessary.

7. Work Location: Various field offices locations as required.

8. No relocation offered

9. Reports To: Senior Director, PCEO.

10. Qualifications Requirements:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Engineering; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years' experience; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of college education and/or experience to make up the equivalent of six years education and experience.

11. Experience Requirements:

Five years of full-time experience performing project management work such as planning,

administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting for a large and/or complex projects.

At least two years of experience in supervisory capacity or as a project manager for a large or

complex projects.

Organize project information, prepare reports and presentations, and interact/communicate

with contractors and other New York City Transit ("NYCT') departments.

Knowledge and/or experience with capital construction procedures, field operations,

construction scheduling and estimating.

The ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations and engineering personnel.
12. Licensing & Certification Requirements:

30-Hour OSHA Certification and 8-hours Lead Awareness Course are required.

Must pass a One-day NYCT Track Safety prior to participating in any Capital Program projects.

13. Special Skills/Training Requirements:

Ability to read and interpret Contract drawings & specifications.

Knowledge of applicable NYCT codes and standards, preferred.

Proficient in MS Word, Access, and Excel. Computer Aided Design & Drafting experience is preferred.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.

In depth knowledge and/or experience with NYCT operations and mass transit facilities preferable.

14. Description of Work:

Candidates must:

Provide field support during construction and design.

Ensure work complies with contract documents.

Complete all required contract documents.

Support the inspection and quality control/quality assurance furnishing and installing of all material and equipment during contract close-out.

Inspect construction projects, monitoring and coordinating 3 or more types of project activities.

Support project managers during construction and design.

Work with Resident Engineer to execute project goals.

Support Project Manager Consultant / Consultant Construction Manager.

Attend project coordination meetings with stakeholders, prepare meeting minutes and follow up on action items.

Ensure all personnel comply with safety requirements of the contract.

Prepare reports regularly and in a timely manner, including, but not limited to:

o Daily reports.

o Quality and safety check lists.

o Field condition survey reports.

o Field sketches.

o Scope of work for change orders, estimates, additional work order packages; and

o Other reports as required by the Construction Manager/PCEO.

Prepare, submit, and coordinate necessary requests for railroad-supply services, such as flagging, access & protection, etc.

Supervise employees and manage project budget, schedules, and construction activities.

The Consultant shall provide safety shoes, at no cost to MTA, which meets NYCT guidelines

and specifications when participating in any activities located on the track or wayside.

The Consultant shall become familiar with and follow NYCT guidelines the procedures as applicable.
