Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional care and support to our residents. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. Duties:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
- Support residents in maintaining a clean and organized living environment
- Encourage and engage residents in social activities and exercises
- Respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Follow care plans and contribute to the development of individualized resident care plans
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related healthcare field preferred
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices is a plus
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations in nursing home settings
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Proficient in taking vital signs and documenting observations
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
