We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the orthodontist in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to creating beautiful smiles and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including orthodontic adjustments, appliance placement, and removal
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for each patient
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating retainers
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for all patients

Skills:
- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for orthodontic appliances is a plus
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic patient assessments
- Thorough knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
- Experience as a dental receptionist is beneficial but not required
