About the Role:

The Head of Data and Analytics at PCS Wireless will manage the Data and Analytics team. This person will be a capable manager and practitioner – leading both the daily work of the team and being a key stakeholder in driving our next generation data platform.

What you will do:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Data and Analytics Team as it builds and maintains PowerBI reports and data pipelines that serve PCS’s business needs.
• Work side-by-side with our Solutions & Delivery team to understand, prioritize, and implement reporting and analytics solutions with both technical proficiency and business context.
• Discern between business solutions that require a data-first approach versus those that touch other solutions and collaborate with the Solutions and Delivery team members to promoters following business solutions.
• Partner with our Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams to help drive consistent data usage and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering, and Enterprise Systems teams to rebuild existing data pipelines and reports currently in on-premises SQL Server for our next generation data platform.
• Foster a collaborative team culture focused on accountability and excellence; provide coaching and support to the data team members.
• Educate the team about leading practices and technologies while being curious and constantly learning the right technologies for our future.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of data initiatives.

We are Seeking People Who:

• Can prioritize the tactical work of a team to align closely with business impact.
• Can translate between business needs and technical output in the form of data pipelines, data visualization and other tools that empower business users to service their own needs (Microsoft Azure and PowerBI as the preferred stack).
• Have hands-on experience with data pipelines in both a SQL and a Spark environment, preferably within the Microsoft Azure data platform.
• Can succeed in leading and coaching others.
