Here's how a(n) Public Relations Coordinator for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities
- Create and distribute company news through traditional and innovative methods including news releases, videos, podcasts and advisories, ensuring content is error-free, on-brand and in AP style.
- Assist with writing content compelling content and thought leadership for PCL’s external website.
- Utilize media monitoring system to track and measure media presence.
- Write award submissions and track U.S. wide award submittals and wins.
- Collaborate with company Marketing and Communications teams across the U.S. to identify unique stories.
- Assist with planning and executing media tours.
- Work with graphic design team to create various visuals for multiple communication platforms.
- Assist with presentation development.
- Support conference planning and brand activation.
- Track and analyze media coverage to evaluate the effectiveness of brand messaging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a corporate or agency setting.
- Expert in AP writing style and superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated experience writing press releases and blog posts.
- Ability to balance multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative, creative-thinker and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and work with teams across the U.S. and Canada. Travel will account for approximately 10% of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of available communication tools and self-driven to explore emerging and innovative communication trends, tools and resources.

The salary range for this position is between $51.000 - $65.000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
