Here's how a(n) Accountant for our Denver office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

* Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting.

* Processes all accounts payable and accounts received in a timely and accurate manner.

* Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as the need arises.

* Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements.

* Assembles client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and ensures timely payment.

* Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries.

Qualifications

* High school diploma.

* Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.

* Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred.

* Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting.

* Basic understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows.

* Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting

* Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements.

* Basic understanding of lien rights.

* Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.

* Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.

The salary range for this position is between $53,000 and $68,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
