Job Description

The Site Lead/Maintenance Control will perform safe for flight functions in support of flight schedule to ensure assigned aircraft are configured and safe to comply with tasking requirements.

  • Act as a liaison between the Squadron COR, the Maintenance Officer, and the company to ensure that all contract requirements are meet.
  • Work with the COR in the procedures to obtain Common Access Cards, submit required SAAR’s or SAARN’s for computer access requirements.
  • Submit Local Records Check to base Pass and ID for newly hired employees.
  • Works with the COR and USMC leadership to resolve any procedures, processes, or program issues, providing recommendations as required.
  • Prepare and submit required reports and deliverables as required in a timely manner.
  • Provide the AMO with reports or documentation as required.
  • Assign, control, direct, and supervise Contractor personnel under this contract to ensure employees comply with work standards and contract requirements.
  • Ensures daily production efforts are accomplished by CMS personnel according to established Government priorities.
  • Qualifies, certifies, and licenses employees as required.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes personnel training as required to enable and sustain all required certifications, licenses, and qualifications IAW applicable instructions and directives with no lapses or degradation of support.
  • Conduct initial, refresher, and annual training as required.
  • Responsible for execution of quality control processes for all services and support.
  • Liaises directly with Squadron Quality Assurance and/or COR to resolve any quality concerns or issues.
  • Ensure that all personnel are in compliance with NAMP processes, all NAVAIR publications, Squadron SOP’s, instructions, TD’s, Federal, State, and local requirement.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with PCI company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulatory requirements including those detailed in OSHA, NAVOSH, and EPA instructions, and enforces proper use of PPE for CMS personnel.
  • Ensure tasks are executed IAW DOD, MCAS Cherry Point, and contract security requirements.
  • Has full authority to liaise with Maintenance Control and QA when providing oversight on team efforts; directs participation in production support planning meetings and related activities as directed by the Government via the COR.
  • Works with the COR to ensure requirements are well defined and within the scope of the contract.
  • Ensures contractor employees only use authorized Government provided materials and equipment to perform CMS services.
  • Ensures accountability of all GFE/GFP assigned to the CMS team through periodic inventories.
  • Works with COR, USMC, and Company leadership to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies associated with cost, schedule, and performance before they occur.
  • Ensures employee daily TAA hours and work/labor reporting are completed, approves personnel time off requests, and coordinates all priorities through the COR and AMO.
  • Completes annual performance evaluations for all contractor employees, submits award recommendations, conducts counseling as required, and performs all supervision, evaluations and disciplinary functions required for our employees.
  • Perform daily screenings as required.
  • Conduct Maintenance Meeting as required.
  • Initiate and screen MAF’s as required.
  • Assign Project and Priority codes for parts ordered as required.
  • Provide liaison between squadron and MALS-14 Supply in the absence of the expeditor as required.
  • Conduct training in Safe for Flight procedures with newly assigned controllers as needed.
Job Requirements
  • KC-130 Safe for Flight Training (MOS 6012) and associated training.
  • Shall have the ability to perform complex O-level maintenance actions.
  • Must have attended the Naval Aviation Maintenance Control Management for Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity Course C-555-0053.
  • Familiarity with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) or equivalent.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • If a Veteran, must have earned an honorable discharge (preferred) but no less than a General discharge under Honorable conditions.
  • Possess a good knowledge of squadron organization and functions and be able to communicate and interact effectively with others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license, obtain, and maintain base access.
  • Work Environment (ADA): May be required to work in areas in the hangar and on the flightline that are noisy and dusty. May be exposed to moderate discomforts, such as heat, cold and wind. May be required to wear personal protective equipment, when applicable.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which may need to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in an office environment.

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
