Job Description:
The Site Manager at Warner Robins (WR) is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, business development and execution of programs performed in Warner Robins, GA. Key metrics for the WR Site Manager’s success include achievement of revenue, profit and production plans, on time delivery, effective cost management, and success achieved through teamwork and collaboration. Qualified candidates for the position will have exceptional oral and written communication skills and be equally comfortable and effective leading diverse teams and working one-on-one. Interpersonal skills are critical, as are demonstrable management, mentoring and leadership experiences.
  • Actively participate in strategic planning, sales, aligning organizational capability and capacity to forecasted needs
  • Represent the organization to all stakeholders, including customers and leadership
  • Ensures that the company is prepared to meet evolving customer demands and is adept at translating those demands into action
  • Participates in the creation of and ensures the alignment of her/his organization to the revenue, profit, and production plans
  • Creates, analyzes, evaluates and/or monitors planning, production, program, and financial metrics and communicates with staff, leadership, and customers as needed
  • Day-to-day, the WR Site Manager’s focus is on integrating the efforts of her/his diverse team to guide programs from inception (sales, bid, contract award, etc.) to delivery
  • Facilitates communication and coordination, daily key and complex decision-making, and removes barriers to staff and organizational success
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence with focus on accountability, quality, and safety
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring customer needs are clearly communicated internally and expectations are defined externally
  • Maintain a work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Train, challenge, mentor, empower, and recognize team member’s accomplishments
  • Lead and develop team to support succession planning programs across organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
  • Knowledge of and experience in business management, strategic planning, leadership, and financial management
  • 8- 10 Years’ experience in a related field
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of cost and schedule estimating, systems disciplines, engineering specifications, and commercial practices relating to weapon systems procurement and production
  • Knowledge of and experience in complex, mixed-manufacturing and engineering environments and working with and leading diverse teams in challenging environments
  • Ability to lead and manage in a collaborative and communicative style while ensuring alignment with and accountability to company objectives
  • Demonstrated competence on Program Management
  • Engineering and Manufacturing Operations proficiency
  • Must have personnel management skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
