Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Installation Technician to join our team. As the lead technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the physical installation and configuration of various technology systems, ensuring seamless integration and top-notch performance. Your technical expertise, leadership abilities, and attention to detail will be instrumental in delivering successful installation projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Perform physical installation and configuration of technology systems, including hardware, software, networking equipment and peripheral devices, according to specifications and guidelines.
  2. Ensure accurate and efficient cable routing, termination, and connection of network cables and components.
  3. Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance checks to ensure installed systems meet performance standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  4. Integrate different technology systems and components, configure network settings, and establish seamless connectivity between subsystems and devices.
  5. Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during system installation or integration, utilizing problem-solving skills and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  6. Generate and maintain detailed/accurate installation documentation, including system configurations, wiring diagrams, test reports, and equipment inventory.
  7. Provide on-site customer support and guidance during the installation process, addressing questions and concerns, as knowledge transfer of system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  8. Prioritize safety during installation, following industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols to protect personnel, clients, and the environment.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment during installation projects and manage inventory of equipment, tools, and spare parts needed for installation tasks.
  10. Collaborate and communicate with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate the delivery of equipment, tools, and materials required for installations to ensure smooth project execution.
  11. Lead your team, advice, review, and teach how to do a correct installation.
  12. Conduct the "Quality Control and Commissioning Assessment Checklist" at the final stage of the projects.
  13. Daily responsibilities as leader: report in Knowify in an accurate and briefly way, add the project activities, add the "red flags" providing reasons and solutions, add the subcontractors time and report, ensure the team is clock-in in the accurate phase of the project where they are working, oversee the safety rules complies, oversee the efficient work performance.
  14. Weekly responsibility: report the status of the projects to the leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in the systems integrator industry
  • Experience managing complex projects involving the integration of multiple systems and technologies
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage project documentation
