Job Description Summary: PayPal, Inc. seeks Senior Product Manager – 1, Technical in San Jose, CA Job Duties: Segment and design technical system layers to support componentized and layered software application development, including business logic functionality and database/component repository access. Plan, organize, and deliver new PayPal products and features to the market in fast paced environments. Implement large-scale data mining and machine learning algorithms and data model pipelines in a software production environment. Identify and make recommendations to reduce software project risks. Perform exploratory data analysis to understand the correlation between target performance and platform features. Utilize data mining technologies and various data sources, such as PayPal user behavior data, inventory data, and transaction data in both batch and real time mode, to create platform performance data models. Work closely with team members to develop efficient algorithms for platform performance models and improve the algorithms by using state-of-the-art data analytics research work. Monitor and ensure life cycle maintenance for data analytics and machine learning models and services. Define and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software applications and own platform capabilities to enable developer testing & tooling via the sandbox environment, API tool for integrations. Define and execute the roadmap to ensure the platform capabilities meet the needs of developer across segments, regions, and size of business. Define Product requirements and lead the successful execution of initiatives that enable integration solutions for PayPal’s merchants. This includes the design, definition and development of user experiences and APIs processing integrations. Utilize knowledge of PayPal's internal and proprietary data mining technologies and data sources to develop modeling tools that produce robust predictive models to support business initiatives. Utilize knowledge of advanced engineering tools to help drive solutions for platform product decisions. Responsible for developing, prioritizing, communicating, and executing on a roadmap for infrastructure features that provide the central building blocks for developer products and services at PayPal. Develop platform features and capabilities to facilitate seamless onboarding with the best KYC (Know Your Customer) and identity verification practices to support exponential growth. Identify platform problems and look for world-class solutions to improve the onboarding capabilities and user experience for PayPal developers globally. Identify and fix performance, scalability, and other software live issues in a very time critical environment. Work with cross-functional teams to translate user needs into product requirements and communicate with the engineering teams and relevant stakeholders to ensure execution within defined timelines. Work closely with product development teams in an agile environment. Manage sprint backlogs and roadmaps, writing stories and other typical agile processes, approving product in user acceptance verification phase. Engage closely with engineering and architecture to help determine the best technical implementation/design for platform product. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
