Job Description Summary: PayPal, Inc. is seeking a Manager to join its Customer Practices and Regulatory Relations team. The Manager will provide seasoned leadership and judgment in enabling PayPal to cultivate positive regulatory relationships and consequently, enabling PayPal’s business objectives. Job Description: Responsibilities Support program management for regulatory relations processes, including the global regulatory inquiry response and examination processes and regulatory engagement strategy plan development Maintain best practices for supporting global regulatory examination management, including liaising with internal stakeholders and regulators through all phases of the exam process Assist in developing and managing global licensing strategies Conduct oversight of global licensing and reporting execution activities Serve as a credible business partner across functional units, providing advice and support as needed Draft and oversee development of responses to regulatory inquiries Engage critical stakeholders in problem solving issues with regulatory impact Draft committee and other governance materials related to regulatory engagement, as appropriate Perform additional tasks as assigned Job requirements: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects with competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change. Solid critical and analytical thinking, decision making and innovative problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven track record of effective communication with regulatory agencies. Proven ability to interact well with internal management and external contacts, including regulators. Strong ability to source, manage and analyze data. Ability to credibly challenge solutions and ensure timely escalation of issues and concerns as and when appropriate. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrates strong project management skills, including leadership and consensus building. Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment. Adaptable in unexpected situations, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty. Knowledge of the financial services compliance and / or regulatory environment is required Strong computer knowledge; excellent MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint skills. Compliance experience in the financial services industry, with financial services licensing and reporting experience, and/or regulatory examination management experience preferred. Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
