Job Description: What you need to know about the role: As Director, Insights, you will continuously connect customer insights into our work across portfolios. You will lead a team of talented researchers in uncovering our customers' needs, behaviours, and motivations, translating these insights into actionable recommendations that drive product strategy and design decisions. You will shape roadmaps, product and design decisions; gathering and synthesizing insights from research, voice of customer, data and other sources to move usability and desirability upstream to drive product strategy earlier in the process. Your day to day Lead customer insights efforts to inform product strategy: Craft comprehensive research plans, identify key research questions, and leverage a range of qualitative and quantitative methods to gather data and gain deep customer understanding to inform product strategy. Partner with cross-functional teams: Collaborate closely with product, design, engineering, analytics and other stakeholders to ensure that customer insights are seamlessly integrated into the product development process and translated into tangible solutions that address pain points and delight customers. Communicate insights effectively: Share research findings in a clear, compelling, and engaging manner through reports, presentations, and workshops, influencing key stakeholders and driving strategic decision-making. Foster a culture of research excellence: Mentor and develop your team, establish best practices in research methodologies, and contribute to the broader UX research community. What you need to bring 9 years of experience in UX research: Proven track record of leading research initiatives, conducting user research, and translating insights into actionable recommendations. Executive-level communication: Strong storytelling, presentation, written communication, influence, and interpersonal skills Strategic mindset: Experience developing and executing research plans that align with business objectives and drive long-term product vision. Outstanding communication skills: Ability to articulate complex research findings clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborative leadership: Thrive in a dynamic team environment, build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, and work effectively through ambiguity. Passion for experience design: Deep understanding of experience design principles and methodologies and a genuine commitment to designing solutions that meet user needs and exceed expectations. Strong bias for action: You can juggle multiple priorities with ease and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Expert facilitator, with experience leading workshops at the executive level Extensive experience leveraging research techniques and data for design decisions An exceptional portfolio demonstrating all the above Additional Information: Bachelor's and Master's degree in UX research, design, research, or related field or equivalent professional experience. 4-5 years of experience in strategic UX/Product/CX/ Design leadership roles. Solid understanding of modern technologies, commerce, and personalization Experience working cross-functionally and synthesizing feedback from diverse stakeholders.
