PayJunction is Hiring a Remote Product Manager

We are seeking a Product Managerto take ownership and accountability for the delivery of roadmap items both from a technical perspective as well as from a comprehensive business standpoint. This includes delving into the economics, go-to-market plans, and understanding the broader business implications of our product.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the majority of roadmap milestones are achieved on schedule, making adjustments as needed.
  • Product Roadmap Ownership 
    • Manage the overall product lifecycle, introducing new features and sunsetting outdated ones.
    • Develop and curate the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Product Performance:
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product effectiveness and provide regular reports to leadership.
    • Measure and report on Product Adoption Rate, Product Revenue, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Churn Rate, Product Development Velocity, Product Backlog Growth, Time to Market, and Customer Support Tickets Related to Product.
  • Product Marketing Support:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ensure products pass PCI, CCPA, and HIPAA standards and other relevant regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.
  • Publish and maintain a competitive analysis report, identifying opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years in a Product Management or Product Owner role.
  • Solid vision of excellent user experience and understanding of key success factors for new product development.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery, working across functional teams, and collaborating with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate technical complexities, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic understanding of system architecture, quality management, and/or software engineering is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Process Champion, with the ability to build processes from the ground up.
  • Highly proficient in Jira: Ability to oversee project timelines, track product development progress, and prioritize feature requests. Ensures alignment between product milestones and business objectives through effective use of Jira.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies: Proven capability to implement and refine agile processes within the team, ensuring efficient workflows, timely product releases, and regular feedback loops with stakeholders.
  • User Stories Mastery: Skilled in creating, reviewing, and approving user stories that align with customer needs and business objectives. Provides guidance on creating effective, user-focused requirements and ensures the necessary detail for engineering.
  • Strong Background in Market & Competitive Research: Demonstrated experience in gathering and analyzing data on market trends, customer needs, and competitors. Utilizes insights to inform strategic decision-making processes.
  • Payment experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in a compliant environment is preferred; familiarity with PCI or CCPA is a nice-to-have but not required.

The base salary range for this role is $116,000 - $140,000/year plus all benefits in our Total Rewards Plan. Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: location, education, experience, skills and qualifications.
