Patriot Blinds & More is Hiring a Window Treatment Installer Near Savannah, GA

Patriot Blinds & More is seeking the right candidate for a window treatment installer position with Long-Term growth potential. Previous experience preferred but comparable carpentry or mechanical installation also applicable. Installation will take place primarily in greater Triad area and training period will require travel to coastal NC & SC to learn first hand from seasoned industry experts. This is a full-time Monday-Friday plus minimal weekend work during the busy months. The key responsibility of a Patriot Blinds & More Installer is to install custom window treatments, window film and various window solutions for our clients. Inventory and maintain warehouse for incoming orders. Maintain installation van, including organizing installation parts and the proper mechanical maintenance of the van (cleanliness, oil changes, brakes, etc.) The Patriot Blinds & More Installer will wear a collared shirt, (shirts will be provided) and shoe covers. Will greet customers at their homes and install their custom solution as ordered. In the performance of their duties, this person will canvass, collect payment balances due; explain warranty cards and operation of blinds to every customer. This employee will operate a battery powered drill and assorted power tools, will use ladders or foot stools to reach various windows as well as industry specific software to input customer information and view your schedule of appointments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Install window treatments for customers. This includes Blinds, Shutters, Shades, Draperies, Window Film and motorized products.
  • Installer will use power tools and be able to make repairs and adjustments to any product as needed.
  • Installer will maintain the warehouses, including checking in and organizing delivered product, alerting the office of newly received product (inventory) and tagging products for the proper customer (utilizing copies of invoices) to make sure no products are missed at installation.
  • Installer will maintain the clean condition of the Van (inside and out) and the mechanical condition of the Van, including oil changes, brakes, general maintenance, etc.
  • Creates positive relationships with customers; uses shoe covers that have been provided, cleans up after install is completed and respects the customer and their property.
  • Educates the customer about their products and warranties and shows them how to use the products properly before leaving the clients home.
  • Collects all balances due and gets the customers to complete the comment cards and sign installation completions forms.
  • Maintains warehouse so he/she can find customers products and track inventory of our stock products and alert management to depleting stock.
  • Resolves any issues with product or windows so the customer can get their treatments installed the first time. Alerts management of any issues arising from the installation whether resolved onsite or if requiring a reorder and or customer problems with order/installation.
  • Calls the office to communicate what is required to resolve any problems/issues with order.
  • Properly disposes of packing material and old blinds from customer’s homes.
  • Records his/her start time and end time.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all customer and vendor data.

‪ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Canvasses 10 houses to the left and 10 houses right of each install.
  • Picks up or offers yard signs to customers.
  • Other duties as required by management / ownership.
  • Can read and follow directions and be willing to watch You Tube videos for instructions.

‪JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma.
  • Clean DMV and Clean background check. Have a valid driver’s license and be bondable.
  • Visual acuity to read a tape-measure to 1/16th of an inch and physical clearance to climb ladder/step stool.
  • Be able to lift 80 pounds as well as bend and kneel consistently.
  • Previous blinds and/or plantation shutter experience is a plus.
  • Must be good with tools.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot small mechanics and think mechanically.
  • Clean appearance and excellent customer service skills are a must.
  • Punctual, determined, highly ethical. Safe driver.

COMPENSATION:

  • Patriot Blinds & More provides highly competitive compensation. Will be based on Qualifications and Experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,100.00 per week
