Under the general supervision of the Director of Patient Services, provides professional nursing care for a select group of patients for a designated time frame according to established pre-op policies and procedures. Provides pre-op care to patients, communicating significant observations to the Director of Patient Care Services. In collaboration with and under the direction of Administration and Consultant Pharmacist, maintains par levels on all pharmaceuticals, in a manner that is consistent with hospital protocols and state and federal law. Working with physician and nursing staff assures all appropriate discharge planning is completed assuring patients needs for post discharge care is addressed.
