Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care and transportation to patients in emergency situations. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients at the scene
- Assess the patient's condition and perform necessary medical procedures
- Administer medications and ensure proper dosage and administration techniques
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while providing continuous care en route
- Communicate with healthcare professionals to relay patient information and receive further instructions
- Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately and thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ambulance and medical equipment
- Adhere to established protocols, procedures, and safety guidelines
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Proficient in aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and dosage calculations
- Familiarity with emergency room (ER) protocols and procedures
- Experience with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance
- Strong understanding of basic life support (BLS) techniques
- Ability to perform accurate patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and common medical conditions
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and prolonged standing
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
