Hours/Week: 32 hours (Full Time - Exempt) Hybrid work is allowed with conditions.
Salary: $62,000 annually

Years of Experience: Minimum two years of experience in grant writing and development
Grant Writing and Proposal Development (60%)
Collaborate with program and executive team staff to create compelling grant proposals, and funding requests, including taking the leadership role in the strategy development, narrative composition, and required attachments, including budgets, letters of support, and other requested collateral.
Write and assemble most or all sections of each grant proposal, with key input from program directors and other staff;
Coordinate with relevant staff in order to solicit timely and appropriate input/review of grant proposals, funding requests, and required reports prior to submission deadlines;
Review guidelines for all proposals, grant award agreements, and reports to make sure all submissions are accurately formatted and include all required information, including budgets and collateral material.
Grant Reporting and Management (20%)
Manage the grant proposal and reporting calendar in partnership with the Director of Institutional Advancement;
Maintain current pipeline to reflect all grant activity and to build future funding opportunities;
Work with the Director of Institutional Advancement to track funder reporting needs, deadlines, and action items, including stewardship;.
Create compelling and accurate impact reports to major foundation,corporate, and public agency grant supporters by working with the leadership team to track outcomes; share client stories; and to address opportunities and challenges;
Collaborate with the Finance department for financial reporting requirements.
Work with the Director of Institutional Advancement to manage donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategy for institutional funders.
Track current grant cycles and renewal processes and ensure stewardship to guarantee continued funding and to forecast future funding goals in the annual budget.
Prospect Research (10%)
Conduct targeted research to identify new institutional funders and help grow the existing portfolio of funders to ensure that Pathways to Housing DC maintains a diverse portfolio of funders;
Data Integrity (5%)
Manage the development database (Bloomerang) and ensures that data is up-to-date and accurate;
Maintain records of all corporate/foundation interactions e.g. grant agreements, report requirements or documentation of calls and meetings;
Design and manage ongoing development of the system to meet the needs of the development department;
Other (5%)
Support general fundraising activities, including special events, as needed;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 2 years of grant writing and fundraising experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with budgeting and budget development. Basic financial management skills.
Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
Self-starter, motivated, and able to take initiative in all situations; ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and inclusive environment.
Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail and prioritization abilities to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills are a must.
Advanced computer skills; database and CRM experience are a plus.
Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team; work well with diverse styles and personalities.
Strong commitment to supporting Pathways to Housing DC’s mission to end chronic homelessness.
