WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

As a Communications Specialist at Pathlight, you'll be the vital support person our communications department relies on. You'll take charge of managing databases, organizing files, and assisting with social media - all while providing crucial support for various communication initiatives. Your role will also involve some content creation, event assistance, and general administrative tasks to keep things running smoothly. If you're someone with strong organizational skills, fantastic verbal communication abilities, experience with social media platforms, and office technology expertise, we want to hear from you!

We're looking for a detail-oriented, collaborative individual who's enthusiastic about making a difference through nonprofit communications.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST JOB?

To excel in this role, you'll need to bring a combination of essential skills and qualifications to the table. These include an Associate degree in Marketing, English, PR, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, along with over 1 year of relevant experience. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), WordPress, and MS Office is crucial.

You should also have a solid understanding of social media and online reputation best practices, as well as familiarity with web design and content management systems. Strong analytical and project management abilities are a must, along with excellent writing and editing skills to create compelling content. Keeping up to date with current technology and social media platforms, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external contacts, will set you up for success in this dynamic role.
