As a Teacher Assistant at Pathfinder Early Learning Center (ELC), you embody a pivotal role in young learners' educational and developmental journey. Your work is deeply collaborative, requiring seamless partnership with families, educators, and support staff to deliver personalized and inclusive learning experiences. Adhering to high standards, your responsibilities span implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans, engaging with parents to enhance early childhood programming, and conducting regular assessments of children's development to ensure families are closely involved in their growth journey.
In your daily activities, you foster a nurturing environment through hands-on learning opportunities, adherence to Indiana Child Care Licensing guidelines, and developing structured activity schedules tailored to individual needs. Utilizing the Conscious Discipline Curriculum, you support children's social and emotional development, contributing to a holistic approach to early education. In collaboration with your colleagues, your efforts create a positive, stable, and enriching environment for children, staff, and families, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and growth in the children under your care.

Requirements
Preferred Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma/GED and ability to obtain a CDA within four months of hire.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to support people with disabilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed.
• Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
• Essential physical skills - be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift 50 pounds, push and pull against potential resistance; and be able to implement CPR and First Aid when needed.
