Where You Fit

We are searching for a highly motivated Associate Director for the Insurance Follow-up Team. This role will report to the RCM Director of RCM Core Services at the Diagnostics Division. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, analytical, a team player, and is excited about being a part of a fast-paced and rapidly growing company shaping the category of AI-powered pathology.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a team of revenue cycle managers responsible for Insurance Follow-up
  • Assist and support managers in the supervision and training of the insurance collection team; focusing on workload management and how to prioritize claim follow-up
  • Review and analyze accounts receivable inventory to identify current payor denial and delay of payment trends; devise strategy to resolve
  • Review current insurance follow-up methodology and technology to identify if current processes are productive and efficient to reduce denials and improve collections; collaborate with the Director of RCM Core Services if changes need to be made
  • Build and implement a comprehensive productivity and quality improvement program that utilizes current technology improvements
  • Work with other departments in the organization to improve the claim submission and management process resulting in successful reimbursement
  • Track and report on departmental key performance indicators/measures as determined by revenue cycle leadership
  • Research and document payor policies as they relate to the department and assist in developing procedures accordingly
  • Review incoming payor bulletins to remain current on policy and reimbursement changes; communicate these changes to senior leadership
  • Assist senior leadership in the development and management of the annual operating budget.
  • Attend job related conference calls, meetings, and conferences
  • Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies
  • Support PathAI Diagnostics' mission, vision, goals and management decisions.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor or manager as deemed appropriate

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 7 year(s) of revenue cycle experience required
  • 5 year(s) of experience in a leadership and people management role required
  • Expert knowledge of insurance collections and reimbursement procedure for commercial and government payors
  • Knowledge of Medicare inpatient and outpatient reimbursement guidelines is required
  • Knowledge of billing requirements and guidelines for skilled-nursing facilities preferred
  • Knowledge of correct medical billing process and methodology is required
  • CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge is preferred, certification not required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a competent user of Excel (or equivalent spreadsheet software) and PowerPoint (or equivalent presentation software)
  • Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task in a dynamic environment
  • Must have a positive internal customer service attitude and be a team player
