Japanese trading company that specializes in electronics is looking for Logistics/Shipping Coordinator in Schaumberg, IL.

Responsibilities

Information Registration to SAP

• Register new model price and number (price and parts number)
• Change the price registration in the system
• Change the price of a purchase order and reissue it.
• Change the unit price of the open purchase order in the system and reissue the purchase order for the remaining orders.

Communication with Factories

• Issue purchase orders (revise and issue purchase orders weekly according to the customer's situation)
• Manage remaining orders (communicate with factory to ensure factory information matches)
• Report to your supervisor any orders that are overdue and urge the factory to ship them.
• Receive and check invoices. Communicate with the factory as necessary when corrections are necessary.

Shipping

• Prepare a packing list for shipment and request shipment to the warehouse.
• Prepare invoice and send to customer's accounting department
• Handle FedEx shipping and receiving
• Confirm the number of deliveries received in PLEX (customer system).
• Checks to make sure that the customer's accounting department's payment matches the account receivable.

Receiving

• Coordinate the next shipment schedule and quantity with the factories using the Daily Shipping Chart (shipping by sea for Thailand factory, shipping by truck for Mexico factory).
• Respond to production increase/reduction (report to supervisor and negotiate with factory)
• Receiving (checking for any incomplete invoices and entering them into the system)

Warehouse support

• Requests preparations for shipment.
• Handle customer's Milk Run (make sure pallets are in stock)
• Receive and check invoices from warehouse
• Respond to urgent shipping requests

Document management

• Manage invoices from factories
• Maintain shipping invoices and packing lists for customers.
• Manage shipping documents
• Manage invoices from forwarders

Requirement

• Must have SAP knowledge
• Few years experience of Shipping & Logistics experience is welcomed but not necessary.
