Party Reflections, Inc. Career Center is Hiring a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator Near Charlotte, NC

Qualifications: Must be able to read, write and speak English

Ability to work with a diverse workforce.

Must be able to handle and prioritize a variety of assignments and meets deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.

Proficient computer skills required including Excel, Word, Outlook, ADP Workforce Now.

Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables and critical thinking skills.

Experience: Bachelors Degree required. Minimum of 3 years ADP payroll experience as well as extensive benefits administration and Human Resources experience.

Classification: Non-exempt

Position Summary: The Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for assisting in multiple activities relating to company bi-weekly payroll functions, benefits and COBRA administration. This includes timely and accurate reporting of payroll data for the company employees. Professionalism, Integrity and strong attention to detail are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation and administration of payroll for all company employees, while auditing payroll processing reports for accuracy.
  • Take and handle all inquiries arising from questions about payroll, including but not limited to handling manual check requests.
  • Maintain detailed reports and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Involved in the life cycle of the unemployment process including attending hearings as necessary.
  • Issue ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, annual reports including year-end processing.
  • Track and enter Paid Time off and company assets.
  • Responsible for all child and medical support orders, wage garnishments and liens, unemployment claims
  • Responsible preparing for and conducting annual and new employee benefit enrollment meetings.
  • Reconcile 401(k) plan and process payments monthly.
  • Conduct ADA compliance reports.
  • Assure and coordinate proper administration of COBRA and continuation of benefits in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Responsible for bill reconciliation upon receipt of invoices.
  • Work with accounting on payroll General Ledger posting
  • Conduct year in processing, W2 verification and benefit audits.
  • Stay abreast on employment law and industry changes.
  • Assist Human Resource Director with policy development.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benefit surveys as needed.

  • Must have a full range of motion and dexterity, including but not limited to the ability to bend, squat, and reach overhead.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
