Automotive Team Leader

Our growing warehouse business is looking for an effective Automotive Team Leader to oversee a team of automotive part sequencers in our Sturtevant, WI facility.

This working team leader will direct and assist in the receiving, part sequencing, warehousing and shipping operations related to our growing automotive part supply business.

You will be responsible for leading a team whose responsibilities include sequencing / picking automotive parts, replenishing racks and containers then preparing orders for both physical and electronic shipment.

This role reports directly to our Automotive Operations Manager.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that productivity and profitability targets are achieved, product is stored and shipped in an accurate and efficient manner while complying with company policies and procedures and that all customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities Include :

• Oversee daily team operations with some direct customer interaction.
• Maintain the proper receipt, storage, sequencing, and shipment of our customers’ inventory electronically.
• Schedule the daily work of the team and develop action plans to achieve goals
• Assign workers to specific duties and oversee the sequencing process including : Pull parts in order, scan and label as required, and stage in specific slot order in sequencing racks.

Physically Locate and verify items in WMS inventoryLead physical counts of inventory as required, notifying stakeholders of possible shortages.

Identify differences in similar part codes and small variances in Automotive parts

• Communicate with management on more cost effective or efficient ways of running the operation, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming products and sequencing customer orders for shipment to the assembly plant.
• Implement policies made by upper level management.

Work Environment :

• Capable of becoming certified to operate all the equipment used in the warehouse.
• Very clean warehouse & light assembly operation
• Must be able to perform work task that team members are performing with the manual dexterity & strength required.
• Drug free work environment with approximately 13 fellow team members at this location.
