Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.

Duties:

• Diagnose, repair, replace, and overhaul both mechanical and electrical components, including extrusion equipment, with proficiency in reading electrical schematics.
• Execute and document routine preventative maintenance efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Aid Operators in swift product changeovers to maintain operational continuity.
• Ensure manufacturing equipment consistently produces safe and high-quality products.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement process, providing valuable suggestions.
• Layout, install, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of complex electrical control systems, utilizing skills in interpreting electrical schematics.

Desired Skills:

• Strong understanding of machinery within a manufacturing setting, particularly in mechanical and electrical systems, with expertise in reading electrical schematics, especially related to extrusion equipment.
• Proficiency in operating a range of hand tools, from basic to advanced, while prioritizing safety.
• Physically capable of meeting job demands, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.
• Committed to delivering high-quality work, maintaining safety standards, and fostering effective communication across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D with basic math skills.
• Minimum of three years of practical experience in machine maintenance, with at least one year of experience working with extrusion equipment.
• Completion of a trade school program is desirable.
• Possession of relevant certifications is preferred.
