About You

About the Role

We are seeking an Area Sales Manager for an amazing opportunity to play a critical role in Colorado. The Area Sales Manager core responsibility is to grow Partake’s meaningful presence within the market, working with Distributor reps to identify opportunities for retail sell-in and consumer pull-through. This role acts as the front line to represent our current drinkers and prospects, designing and executing strategies for local brand engagement while sharing audience insights with the broader team. Reporting to the Western Regional Sales Manager, the individual in this role will work relatively autonomously on a full-time basis, flexing over time to meet the seasonal needs of the market while supporting events, sampling/demos, and other outreach. At all times the Area Sales Manager will professionally represent Partake, delivering exceptional consumer, distributor, and retailer engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work autonomously to establish, develop, and grow a strong base of on-premise and off-premise accounts.
  • Complete daily account visit reports, monthly expense reports, and other surveys and reports as required.
At Distributor Level:
  • Partner with distributors to ensure the fulfillment of accounts’ needs.
  • Work with distributor reps to open new accounts; sell in incremental SKUs and packages during ride-withs.
  • Manage POS needs and placement within the market.
  • Execution of quarterly and yearly programming in market
At Retail Level:
  • Identify and successfully sell to new customers, with a focus on the local independent channel and On Premise
  • Secure distribution, display and secondary space, shelf facings and share of cold box.
  • Maintain positive business relationships and communication with account owners, managers, and buyers.
  • Provide excellent customer service by developing a regular route and call pattern.
  • Introduce and sell in new flavors and packages as and when launched.
  • Conduct store audits.
  • Working with accounts on promotions and company programming
At Consumer Level:
  • Support a local sampling/guerilla marketing agency to prompt consumer trial and purchase.
  • Source and coordinate local event activity.
  • Interface with in-market [social media] influencers and press during key promotional windows.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years in sales management for beverage, beer and/or CPG experience
  • Beverage Distributor experience highly preferred (Internal or External)
  • Cross-functional experience in trade marketing in Colorado area
  • Demonstrates ability to understand customer needs and apply appropriate solutions.
  • Takes personal responsibility for decisions, delivering results and exceeding expectations.
  • High-energy, enthusiastic, self-motivated, competitive, assertive, and goal-oriented with the desire to succeed.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively with the rest of the sales, marketing, and operations teams to accomplish goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge, understanding and proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to travel daily and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends and participate in evening and weekend promotions and assist with special events as necessary.
  • Have a registered, insured, and dependable vehicle, as well as a safe driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to drive to and from accounts regularly.
  • Understanding and passion of Non-Alcoholic Beer category highly sought after.

This is a contract role that reports to the Regional Sales Manager. This position is a remote working role located in a must-win US market for Partake. Travel will be required within Colorado with a focus on Denver.
