The Fleet & Safety Coordinator facilitates safety training with the Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager as well as observes and evaluates staff in making sure they are adhering to company SOP, EPA, MSHA, DOT regulations, and all safety practices. Minimum of 25% travel to other facilities as required. Responsibilities Include:Trains drivers on how to conduct daily reporting including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service reports, incident reports, and any other required documentationMaintains all records of MSHA, EPA, DOT, OSHA and USCG requirement trackingTracks, compiles, and reports required Federal, State, and Internal documentation.Conducts regular facility inspections to include evaluation of safe work behaviors of all personnelDemonstrates, promotes, and facilitates a safe environment alwaysProvide administrative support to Fleet Safety & Maintenance ManagerProvides direction, guidance, and training, and establishes schedules for location managers, following consistent training proceduresLeading classroom training for new hire safety trainingAbility to comprehend and follow all company policies and proceduresMinimum of 25% travel to other facilities to conduct new hire safety trainingRequirements:2 years minimum safety experience requiredHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least two years related experience and/or trainingOSHA and FMCSA experience preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsMust demonstrate a positive attitude and be professional. Strong customer service and communication skills required Adheres to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company’s handbook and training manuals as well as company policies, procedures, and guidelines that are added and/or revised as necessary
