Parkway Schools is Hiring a Mental health specialist Near Chesterfield, MO

This is a full time position on a teacher's salary schedule.

Positions serves multiple schools in the south region of the district : South High, Southwest Middle, and South Middle

QUALIFICATIONS :

Education - A valid license issued by the Missouri State Board of Social Work LCSW, Board of Professional Counselors LPC, or Missouri State Committee of Psychologists as a licensed psychologist.

Knowledge / Skills - Knowledge of child and adolescent development, family dynamics, various therapeutic modalities, dialectical skills, and evidence-based interventions, plus a workable knowledge of school law, policies, and special education.

Ability to partner and relate effectively with students, their families, and all school faculty. Knowledge of trauma-informed principles, including the ability to articulate best SEL practices and alternatives to exclusionary discipline, including restorative school practices.

Experience - Previous experience in counseling / social work with school-age students. Work experience in a school setting is preferred.
