The Project Accountant is responsible for fulfilling the project accounting and cost accounting requirements for projects, including day-to-day interface with project management, client and subcontractor personnel.
Key responsibilities:
• Cost to Complete / Job Projections
• Ensure PO & Subcontractor cost are accounted for properly
• Review that AP costs against POs
• Make the necessary job cost adjustments
• Project Job Cost ( meet with each PM during CTC week)
• Meet with management team to review CTC status
• Reporting
• Provide client and project team with additional information and supporting documentation for billings as requested.
• Assist with reporting project financial status.
• Coordinate monthly billing process with the project team, and turn in to AR to process
• Ensure that project contractual requirements related to finance are followed by project team, subcontractors, and vendors.
Requirement & desired skills
• Bachelor Degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance
• 3 years’ experience with Construction accounting
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
