Parkside Center for Nursing at Ellijay is Hiring a Food Service Director Near Ellijay, GA
Parkside Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Director to oversee our food service operations.
As the Food Service Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our kitchen and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. If you have a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and a background in Nursing home or kitchen management, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the food service team, including chefs, cooks, and other staff members
- Oversee menu planning and development, ensuring variety and quality in our offerings
- Manage food production and ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of ingredients
- Train and develop staff members on proper food handling techniques and customer service skills
- Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into our food service operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food service industry
- Previous experience working at Nursing homes or Long-Term Care facilities
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating presentations
- Excellent hospitality and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of catering practices is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for menu planning and inventory management
