No minimum qualifications per Civil Service.
- Assisting the Senior Filter Plant Operator with testing water for chlorine within the Region.
- Trimming/maintaining vegetation surrounding water source areas.
- Bleeding air from chlorine pump lines.
- Performing tract reading on water meters.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
- Must be able to follow written direction.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with park and administrative staff.
- Must possess good organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
- Must follow applicable safety rules and regulations.
- Experience in construction is preferred but not required.
This position has the option to join the NYS Employee’s Retirement System and is eligible for health insurance, dental and vision coverage. There is opportunity for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, personal and holiday leave after time & service requirements has been met.
