Reporting to the Director, ERP, this position will be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of business intelligence reports and dashboards using back-end development and front-end visualization tools. Tasks will include gathering and analyzing business requirements to implement timely, accurate, value-add and innovative Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This position requires deep understands the underlying business needs and related technical processes of the application they are assigned to and is involved whenever the Business or IT requires changes to those processes.

Location: This position may be based out of Miami (FL), Houston (TX), or Salt Lake City (UT)

Major Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely, accurate, value-add BI solutions for the Commercial Division by understanding and gathering requirements from business stakeholders
• Responsible for analysis, translation and documentation of business requirements to technical and functional requirements for BI solutions development. Ensure BI solutions align with organizational objectives, processes, direction, and architectural strategies
• Clearly convey the key insights or "story" the data reveals in a visual format that is grouped, summarized, or formatted to be easily understood and actionable
• Gathers and prepares data from multiple sources to support information analytics
• Perform unit and integration testing and participate in reporting validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting and data analytics
• Daily support and administration of systems supporting Business Intelligence Reporting including Power BI, Vivid Reports, and other tools
• The analyst will work on complex cross functional projects, occasionally act as the Project Manager for short term projects or where PM resources are not available.
• Build effective working relationships with key vendors and outside contractors to support reporting initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
• BI/SQL certifications desirable
• Proficient in writing and running SQL
• Expertise with Microsoft BI toolset including: SSMS, SSRS, and Power BI
• Minimum intermediate experience in M-code (Power Query) and DAX
• Superior analytical problem solving
• Superior technical writing skills
• Ability to guide and educate end users on implemented BI solutions as well as support and troubleshoot any business BI related concerns or issues

• Experience developing automated reports and dashboards using BI Analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, SSRS, Cognos, Excel, PowerPivot, Vivid Reports, and other reporting tools

• Ability to aggregate and analyze data
• Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
• Understanding of data integration issues (including validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
• Experience with data warehouse implementations
• Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development cycle is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Some experience with data warehousing preferred
• Some experience converting unstructured data to structured data preferred
