Job Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MUST BE BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH/ SPANISH) to become part of our team! Looking for a full time MA to assist our providers at all of our locations. The schedule will be set so you will know in advance where you will be required to work. Locations available to work at are in Washington Heights and Bronx. Saturdays availability required. You will sometimes be needed to perform routine administrative and clerical work only as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
⁃ Assist the Providers with various procedures, relay instructions to patients and provide all pertinent information
⁃ Send RX’s to appropriate pharmacies indicated
⁃ Ensure that proper patient information is collected and verified in the exam room
⁃ Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, ect
⁃ Collect and process specimens
⁃ Prepare exam and treatment rooms
⁃ Scribe notes for physicians both electronically and handwritten
⁃ Prepare patients for treatments. Assist during treatments.
⁃ Check expiration dates on all medical supplies and samples
⁃ Answer phones and/or greet patients
⁃ Performs other duties as assigned
