Laundry Aide
Full Time
To support the effective operation of the facility’s laundry department by effectively meeting the needs of the residents and facility.
Qualifications:
GED or high school diploma.
Work Listing:
1. Follow oral and written instructions.
2. Adhere to Hazardous Communication policies and procedures including using PPE as required.
3. Follow schedules for the laundry department.
4. Follow laundry procedures in accordance with Facility policy.
5. Ironing duties as assigned.
6. Follow waste disposal procedures in accordance with Facility policy.
7. Properly use and care for laundry equipment.
8. Adjust water temperature valves to maintain required temperatures.
9. Use laundry supplies efficiently properly.
10. Operate automated laundry solution dispensing system.
11. Handle clean and soiled laundry appropriately.
12. Identify and report garments or linens in ill repair to supervisor.
13. Sort and distribute clothing to residents’ rooms in a manner to prevent loss.
14. Identify and report to supervisor any equipment malfunction.
15. Follow infection control procedures through proper handling, storage, washing and transporting of all garment and linens.
16. Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.
17. Observe infection control procedures.
18. Always follow Residents’ Rights policies.
19. Observe all Facility policies and procedures.
20. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, residents’ representatives, Facility team members, and all visitors.
21. Perform other related duties as directed by his/her supervisor.
22. Adhere to Hazardous Communication policies and procedures including using PPE as required.

1. Laundry area is kept clean, neat and free of odors. Lint baskets are cleaned frequently throughout the day.
