Parish Transport is Hiring a Permit Technician Near Ellisville, MS
Job Summary:
The permit technician’s job is to process applications for oversize/overweight vehicles.
Job Responsibilities
- Order permits for oversize/overweight loads.
- Secure escorts
- Coordinate with team on routing.
- Respond to requests for insurance verification & routing beyond district perimeters.
- Communicate with company representatives regarding vehicle size & weight limits, permit issuance procedures, permit limitations, permit provisions, etc.
- Coordinate with utility companies & state officials on oversize load movements.
- Maintain DOT compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be capable of working with different computer programs.
- 3 years of experience with coordinating, dispatching, or scheduling work.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- A minimum high school diploma required.
