Paramount Care Centers is Hiring a Maintance Worker Near Pennsauken, NJ
Works closely with and follows directions from the Maintenance Director;
Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition;
Maintains and repairs basic functions of the facility as determined by the Maintenance Director;
Takes care of the tools and equipment;
Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stocks supplies;
Assumes supervisor’s responsibilities in his/her absence;
Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights;
Performs other duties as requested.
Follow established fire safety policies and procedures.
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
Wear and/or use safety equipment and supplies when lifting or moving heavy objects.
Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Keep work assignment areas free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. Refer to material safety data sheets (SDSs) when necessary.
Follow established policies governing the use of labels and SDSs.
Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to your supervisor.
Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures.
Participate in an in-service training program before performing tasks involving potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or hazardous chemicals.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials.
Discard sharps into designated containers.
Follow established hand-washing procedures.
Dispose of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures.
Follow established policies governing the use and disposal of personal protective equipment and disposal of infectious wastes.
Coordinate isolation procedures with nursing service.
Ensure that adequate suppliesaremaintained to meet the daily needs of the residents.
