Job Summary and Qualifications

The Technology Change Coordinator plays a critical role in the advancement of the corporate Health Information Management (HIM) department’s strategic, operational, and quality goals. As the data landscape continues to evolve at a rapid pace, so too will the mechanics of transforming data into actionable deliverables; however, foundationally, this role will be part of a team responsible for delivery of analytics solutions that enhances HIM’s ability to monitor performance, solve problems and make timely decisions. Reporting to the Manager, Technology & Informatics, day-to-day activities will range from coordination of requests in the analytics pipeline, drafting criteria with stakeholders for project requests, and the creation of documentation around deliverables.


Governance & Managing Work

  • Coordinates intake through deployment activities of analytics pipeline with HIM team members, IT BI, IT Data Science, IT Product Development, and other stakeholders
  • Reviews incoming requests for completeness, follows up on needed information, and performs necessary research for requirements development
  • Facilitates requirements elicitation sessions using various techniques with diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Translates analytics request into business/technical requirements that defines the scope and format of the deliverable
  • Evaluates requirements and estimates time needed to complete deliverable
  • Ensures request information stays up to date to support leadership prioritization
  • Communicates routinely to Manager on any significant issues, status of projects, barriers and successes
  • Navigates between competing priorities, perspectives, and needs from business partners – guides stakeholders towards the best “collective outcome

Analysis & Deliverables

  • Actively facilitates traffic and organizes logistics of work products.
  • Breaks down high level direction into tasks for implementation to best accomplish goals.
  • Interpret data, analyze results and creates calculations using statistical techniques that identify trends and patterns in complex projects
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and dashboards
  • Provides support to end-users for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
  • Creates written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations
  • Creates ad hoc reports and views on a frequent basis to assist management in understanding, researching and analyzing issues

Collaboration

  • Responsible for collaborating with teams, communicating with stakeholders, and providing subject matter expertise in a fast paced environment
  • Completes technology projects in collaboration with HIM department team members, IT BI, IT Data Science and other various roles to evaluate outcomes across enterprise
  • Engages stakeholders to resolve issues with data transmission, or to coordinate changes in file layouts or file processing

Maintenance

  • Assists in administration of HIM Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, sites, adhering to content publishing standards set forth by established governance bodies
  • Handles and maintains confidential data sources
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports, as assigned


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Technical skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SQL databases and query languages, and BI tools. Demonstrates understanding of statistical analysis techniques, big data tools, programming, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and data science terminologies and methodologies.
  • Numeracy skills- demonstrates proficiency in statistical calculations, argumentation and logical thinking, interpreting mathematical information, relationships of numbers, and measurement used in analytics.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, business analytics, statistics, computer science or related field required

Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience managing agile projects.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required
  • Analysis of healthcare related data preferred
  • Experience using market BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikView, etc., a plus
  • Management experience not a requirement
