Paragon Staffing is Hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician Near Somerset, NJ

Due to the growth, Paragon Staffing, LLC is looking for qualified industrial maintenance mechanics to join our team! We take the stress and trouble away from finding each individual the right employment opportunity!

This position consist in the repairs and maintains plastic molding machinery and electro-mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, conveyor systems, electrical devices and production machines and equipment. Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.
Responsibilities/Duties: 
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
  • Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.
  • Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training an experience.
  • Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.
  • Must have strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.
  • Must have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems.
  • Experience with Injection Molding for plastic packaging for industrial use.
Work Schedule
1st Shift: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
3rd Shift: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
Rotating schedule and ability to work alternating weekends and work overtime when needed
Compensation:
• $30 hour Plus – Depending on Experience (DOE)
IMPORTANT
Candidate will need to have extensive knowledge and experience with:
  • Tools such as multimeter or mechanical tools (hand tools, Bridgeport or leather machine).
  • Advanced mechanical skills like hydraulics or grinders work.
  • Candidate must be able to display any advanced practical knowledge in the interview.
  • Candidate must be able to display technical explanation in describing how they would fix problems.
